Heart Beads

Heart Beads

There once was a hodge-podge of beads who were tired of being nothing. They had been waiting around for someone to come by and do something creative with them for a long time and finally realized that wish probably wasn’t going to happen. They recognized that if they wanted to make something of themselves, they were going to have to do it for themselves. So, this odd assortment of miscellaneous beads worked tirelessly and cooperatively with one another, making sure that every bead was included. In the end, it was their love and compassion that emerged as together they created this beautiful heart. They discovered that together, they had the power to create something meaningful and that each little bead was a valuable part of the whole.

Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. It seems we can never have enough reminders about the importance of valuing and including everyone.

Lynda, we’re looking for more people to contribute articles to our blog. Would you be interested in submitting a piece?

        Here’s more info:

Content created should address stereotypes, point out social stigmas, raise questions and/or help explore the meanings of ability and disability in any context, all the while focusing on our universal diversity, hence “Different, Like You.”

Include a brief bio about yourself.

Your work will be displayed on our blog, raffcincy.wordpress.com , as well as on our facebook and twitter

Try to keep it between 500-800 words, breaking it up into readable chunks for people. I am encouraging people to insert pictures into their posts between text to add variety.

I’m honored to be asked to submit an article to your blog.  I will be away from home for a couple of weeks over the holidays so will try to shoot for the end of January, if the meets your needs.

In the meantime, here is a link I think would be of interest to your blog.

        Kindly, Lynda
